Nutritional requirements will vary depending upon your needs and goals. There is no "one size fits all" nutrition program. We will guide you in creating healthy habits, behaviors and nutritional practices which are in alignment with your specific goals. With that said, there are some general guidelines we will implement to help you get started on the right track.
The 90/10 Rule
Initially we recommend maintaining a 90% compliance record with your nutrition to help create momentum towards your goals. That leaves a 10% margin for error or 2-4 occurences per week in which you are not compliant, such as: not meeting your protein requirements, skipping meals, making bad choices, etc ... Once you have reached your goal, you may begin following the 80/20 rule. Keep in mind there may be times when you feel yourself slipping up. If this becomes a pattern you may need to revert back to the 90/10 rule to get back on track.
The 80/20 Rule
Once you have accomplished your goal and developed healthy lifestyle habits, you can begin a maintenance phase which we refer to as the 80/20 rule. This will allow you more flexibililty with your nutrition and is a great general rule of thumb to follow in order to live a healthy balanced lifestyle.
